Thomas Wilson (1859-1940) was the son of Thomas Wilson, a coal dealer in Milton Street, and his wife, Mary Ann. His cutlery and plate business apparently began in 1889 in Rockingham Street, but in the 1890s moved to Continental Works, Milton Street. This was also the location of John McClory. When that firm became a provate limited company in 1898, Wilson’s business was included and he became a McClory director.
