We have been unable to find any trace of H. Amos; however we think it might be Amos Haymer who is listed as a commercial traveller in the Sheffield directory of 1925. His address was 112 Firth Park Crescent. (George E. Haymer, also a commercial traveller, was listed at the same address in 1922.) Amos Haymer (more often pronounced Hamer) was born in Halifax in 1887, the son of a corn miller.
