Henry Rogers Sons & Company Ltd
This hardware merchant was founded in Wolverhampton by Henry Rogers (1779-1846). His sons by his wife, Ann Grosvenor, were Edward (1808-1845), William Henry (1810-1892), and Henry Jun. (1811-1881). After the founder’s death, the enterprise continued under the surviving sons. In 1857, Alfred Charles Twentyman (1832-1908) – a Liverpool merchant, who had married Mary Anne, the second daughter of William Henry – became a partner.
