Stephen Allender (1778?-1844) was a pen and pocket knife cutler, who may have been born at Rotherham. He was active in Pea Croft by 1817. By the early 1820s, he had moved to Spring Street. In 1841, he was living in Spring Street with his wife, Mary, and their three sons – William, Edwin, and Richard – and daughter, Ann.
