George & Charles Marsden
Between 1860 and 1868, George Marsden and Charles Marsden (who were brothers) were spring knife manufacturers, Exchange Works, Headford Street. They lived in adjacent Edgerton Street. Charles was buried in Ecclesall on 1 September 1863, aged 35. George was married to Hannah (nine years his junior). In 1871, he was still working in Edgerton Street, employing two men and one boy.
