This cutler advertised in a directory in 1883 as a manufacturer of sporting, deer stalking, ladies’ scissors and toilet knives, besides a range of horticultural knives. The address was 78 Edward Street, where previously Shaw had partnered Henry Stacey Possibly Henry V. Stacey). Their partnership was short-lived (it was not listed in 1879 and was dissolved in 1882).
