George Taylor
George Taylor was born in Sheffield on 19 August 1875. His early life is difficult to trace, but in 1898 at St Mary’s Church he married Adelaide née Laughton (1876-1972). In 1901, George (a fruit knife cutler) and Adelaide were living at Lancing Road. In the Census (1911), the couple were enumerated at Bramall Lane, with two daughters and a son.
