John Broadhead (c.1784-1849) was listed in 1833 as a scissors chaser in Carver Street. By 1837, he was a scissors manufacturer in Fitzwilliam Street. In 1839, he was in partnership with Joseph Burgin in the style of Burgin & Broadhead, makers of fine scissors and tailors’ shears. This was dissolved at the beginning of 1842.
