Joseph William Haigh (born in Leeds c.1887) was company secretary to W. R. Humphreys by 1911 and later one of his executors. By the 1930s, he was director of J. Ash & Son. In 1933, he was also listed as director of Thomas Ellin. Ash’s was based at 117 Fitzwilliam Street, with J. W. Haigh Ltd listed as the proprietor. Haigh lived first on the Ecclesall Road and later Dobcroft Avenue. Haigh died in Sheffield on 10 June 1949, aged 62. He left £2,267 to his widow, Edith. ....
