This enterprise was one of the pioneers in the Britannia metal trade. The founder was Richard Constantine (1763-1836), who was born at Giggleswick, Yorkshire. He became a Britannia metal manufacturer in Sheffield, where he was partnered by Stephen Bromley. This ended in 1791. His next recorded partnership was with Samuel Ellis and William Littlewood.
