Elizabeth Gallimore
Elizabeth Gallimore neé Gibson (1798-1882) was the wife of William Gallimore (1796-1860), a German silversmith of School Croft. They had married in 1819. Elizabeth’s name first appeared in a directory of 1852 as Mrs William Gallimore, a German silver spoon manufacturer at 42 School Croft. That address became known as Gallimore’s Yard, School Croft. It appears that William and Elizabeth had separated. Besides spoons, she sold British plate, forks, sugar tongs, and soup ladles.&....
