This electro-plate goods firm was apparently launched in the early 1890s. Frederick Green was born in Leicester in about 1848, the son of Thomas Green, a porter, and his wife, Mary. By 1881, Green was describing himself in the Census as a silversmith; then in 1891 as an electro-plate manufacturer. His business address was Bridge Street, but in 1896 and 1898 he registered silver marks from London Works, Eyre Lane.
