George W. Harris
George Winter Harris (c.1823-1903), a Britannia metal manufacturer, was born in Sheffield. In 1843, he married at Sheffield Jane née Slack. On the marriage certificate, his father’s name was stated as John (a map publisher in Sheffield). George moved to Birmingham, but was insolvent in 1848.
