Taylor Bros Cutlery was based at Hamilton, Ontario. It can be traced to Enoch Taylor (1860-1906), who was born in Sheffield, the son of Enoch and his wife, Ann. Enoch Sen. was described variously in the Census as a spring-knife cutler, grinder, and furniture broker. In 1881, the family was living in Nottingham, where Enoch Jun. was following his father’s trade as a cutler and grinder.
