Thomas Cawton (1804-1867) was a table knife manufacturer. He was apparently born on 21 September 1804, the son of John (a cutler) and his wife, Cecilea. Thomas was first listed in Broomspring Lane. (John Cawton Jun., table knife manufacturer, Bailey Street: house Charlotte Street, had appeared in the 1833 directory.)
