An advertisement (1892) provided an establishment date of 1832, though this probably refers to the company that Fawsitt took over – Henry Youle. Fawsitt’s was a merchant, which sold fine table cutlery, pocket and hunting knives, razors, and scissors at Wentworth Works, Burgess Street. South Africa was evidently one of its export markets.
