Musgrave & Company operated in the 1920s and 1930s in Eyre Street (No. 48 ‘back of’). However, in the late 1920s it also had a Charles Street address and an agent in Darlington. It marketed ‘Firth Stainless’ table cutlery (sometimes sold in fancy canteens) with the trade mark ‘SILVER SEAL’.The founder was Ernest Henry Musgrave (1872-1932), who had been born in Liverpool, one of seven children of Dyer Stead Musgrave and Elizabeth (nee Ingoe).
