Joseph Hancock
Joseph Hancock (c.1765-1831) was a razor and table knife manufacturer. He may have been part of Sayles, Hancock & Co. He was listed in Arundel Street from 1811, with his final address in directories as 75 Arundel Street. He died on 14 January 1831, aged 66, ‘deeply lamented by an affectionate wife and tender relations …’ (Sheffield Independent, 15, 22 January 1831). His burial was at Howard Street Independent Chapel. ....
