Arthur was born about 1891 the son of George Rogerson, a table blade forger and Annie Rogerson, living at 32 Moor Street. By 1911 the family had moved to 145 Young Street, where his father, (now a widower) was working as a Grocer and beer retailer. Arthur is listed as a blade manufacturer and his brother George, a cutlery manufacturer, 'working on his own account'. No company records have been found beyond 1925.
The 1939 Register lists Arthur living with his wife Beatrice at 67 Hermitage Street where he was running a Licensed Beer House. Arthur died in 1962 aged 71, his brother George died in 1945 aged 65, no probate records have been found.
