We believe this knife was made in Sheffield for Sir John Bennett Ltd, a London shop founded in 1889 to carry on the watchmaking business of Sir John Bennett (1814 - 1897), a watchmaker and "flamboyant personality" (see John Bennett (watchmaker) on Wikipedia). The maker is unknown.
