Edgar Pease Burrell (1881-1952) was a file manager and dealer in the first decade of the twentieth century. He has been born in Sheffield and was the son of John W. Burrell, a hosier and shoe manufacturer, and his wife Sarah. During the First World War, Edgar P. Burrell became one of the pioneers in marketing the safety razor. In 1916, he was listed as a safety razor blade maker, Bradfield Road, Owlerton (with a residence in Hawksley Avenue). The business proved short-lived and in the 1920s Edgar P. Burrell returned to his trade as a file merchant.
