George Arthur Darley
George Arthur Darley was born on 6 July 1896, the son of Frederick W. Darley, a die and tool maker, and his wife Mary E. Darley. After learning his father’s trade, George became a cutlery die and tool maker. He was listed as a cutlery manufacturer in Bennett Street, between 1948 and the 1970s. George A. Darley, of Swaledale Road, died on 11 June 1976, aged 79. He left £1,386.
