Thomas Harrison (c.1784-1860) was a table knife manufacturer, who mostly worked in Campo Lane. A cutler of that name was active at the top of Lee Croft in 1828 (other Thomas Harrisons can be found in directories in the mid-1820s, though with less certain identification). Beside table knives, Harrison dealt in pen, pocket, and palette knives. In the Census (1841), he was enumerated as a 57-year-old table knife maker, living in Campo Lane with his wife Mary and son, Thomas. In the late 1840s, he moved to Rockingham Street. Thomas Harrison, table knife manufacturer, Fitzwilliam Street, died of ‘dropsy’ on 18 March 1860, aged 76. He was buried in an unconsecrated grave in the General Cemetery.
