This old knife was recovered from the River Thames in the Queenhithe area and is believed to have been made c1750s.
The mark on the knife (a chamberstick above the letter A) indicates that it was made in Sheffield by Thomas Smith however the age of the knife means that we are unable to definitively identify this knifemaker.
