In 1799, John Shore and James Rotherham registered a silver mark (I.S & Co) at the Assay Office. Their address as plate workers was Sycamore Street. James Rotherham was apparently already established: a plate worker of that name had registered a silver mark (I R) in 1792 from Spring Street. Shore & Rotherham was dissolved in 1804. No subsequent information has been found on the partners.
